YOU & ME AGAIN…

He left, slamming the door behind him. “What do you take? I don’t know you anymore” this the only word that Justine told him. What did he take? He would like to know… from a little time, he didn’t know himself anymore. Before, he could say that he was nervous because he didn’t have a job, but now he had a lot of work. Despite this, the situation didn’t change. He didn’t know where to go. He didn’t know what to do. The life that he had always dreamt was becoming a hell. The fight with his girlfriend had served for complete his bad period. When he was a children, in this occasion, he hid and closed his eyes. So he imagined an other world… now, he was adult and even if he had closed his eyes, the problem would have remained to wait him. Then, which problems? The job was good, he had more possibilities to see his mother and sister. This was the only thing he cared. Justine knew it and she made the bags as soon as she has been able. He was alone…again alone. His mother always said “You’ re a good endowment! You are able to love!”, if he saw his previous love story, he thought that this wasn’t enough. To be honest, he didn’t love Justine… he didn’t love her as he had loved the other girlfriends. Perhaps, this was the reason because he wasn’t annoyed, sad, disappoint or repentant for her gesture. She walked faster and she had a long chestnut hair. She had a shopping bags in her hand and she was arm in arm with portable pc. One shopping bag broke and all fell to the ground. The girl bent down to take the bag but in that moment the portable slipped down. She told anything. Josh went to help her.
J: Can I help you?!
He climbed down some stair and took her portable. When he left, the girl stared him. She didn’t believe and he was surprise. She was her.
K: Josh! What do you do here?
J: And you? Do you live here yet?
K: Yes, I do… do you think that I move from somewhere?

They went into the apartment.
K: Sorry for this chaos! The cleaning lady had to came today, but it hasn’t been this way! Came in the kitchen…
Josh followed her in the kitchen and he sat on stool near the table.

Josh nod for to say no. He stared her in silence and his look followed every her gesture.

She turned and looked confused.
K: What?- she sat closet to him
J: We are met for ages and you have never smiled!- her voice was clam. Katie immediately was on the defensive.
K: Perhaps, I didn’t want to smile! In this moment, it isn’t nothing for which worth the trouble to smile but if you want…- she made a false smile. She lift and took her glass in the sink.

K: Sour?- she ended the sentence – The old experience has made me sour! So, why are you here?!- she said with a icy tone, she wasn’t happy to say him. Josh sighed e closet his eyes for a moment.
J: I’m here because I wanted to know how you are
K: It’s funny! Two years ago, you didn’t seem interested to know how I was!

J: I go away! It’s evident that my presence is not appreciate!- he got up from the stool e went toward the door. He hoped that Katie stopped him. She didn’t stop the boy. Katie opened the door. Josh watched her for last time, but her look was freezing.

Josh went out the apartment with his eyes downcast.

When he was out, Katie closed the door and she leaned against it. What did he want again? Did he want to be friends? She didn’t want. She didn’t want to suffer again. She wasn’t masochist. What would she has had to tell him? She would to tell him that her life was only job from last time that they were met. And that she didn’t want to star a new relationship because she has had fear to suffer again or she would to tell him that she didn’t lie her family because she didn’t have a time. The time for to love there is always.
She went in her bedroom and she went to the bed without took off her clothes. She stared to cry and then she fell asleep.
The after day, she went to job. She must to end the last scene but she wasn’t concentrate.
K: No Sam! I have made a mistake but…you…you…- she turned toward the troupe with affliction air- I’ don’t remember the part, I’m sorry!
The director sighed: Ok, again! Ready? Action!
K: No Sam! I have made a mistake but you have made of worst! You don’t…- she sighed frustrated and put down the script – I can’t! I’m not concentrate! I don’t know what I have!
The director gave five minute of pause and he went toward Katie. He put his arm on Katie’s shoulder.

D: Go to sleep! You came back in the afternoon, now I filmed a scene where you there isn’t!
K:No! I can! I must give me five minute… or a quarter of an hour and I promise that I’ll be ready!

Katie stayed on set all day. She come back at home at night. Parking her car and climbed up the stairs. She went to bed, but she couldn’t think how she was behave with Josh the previous day. She was proud, so she couldn’t call him for apologized the her behaviour. “ Damn the proud!” she thought “I must remedy!”. She went the door and she took the coat and her car’s key, the she went out. There was cold and it starter to rain. She was wet and the roads was dark. She arrived to Josh’s house. The front door was open and she entered. She climbed up the stairs and arrived in front of the his apartment. She was wet and without breath. She rang and Josh opened the door, immediately. When he saw her, his look was surprise. Josh saw that she was wet and he did her enter in house.
J: Do I take you a towel?
K: Don’t worry! I have wet only coat and hair…
J:I take you the phon!
K: No, I don’t!- but Josh had already gone in bathroom. He returned with the phon in his hand. After, she had dry her hair, Josh invited her to sit on the coach.
K:No, I don’t stay a long. Perhaps, you must to do some things…
J: I’m not busy! You can to stay!
K: No, I want to go!- she sighed and played with her fingers – I want because I’m very sorry for my behaviour of last day…
Josh looked her with question air.

J: Ok…- Josh started to play with his hands, because he was nervous. He didn’t know what to say and he watched the floor. Katie understood that she must to go for improve the situation.

The following day was for Josh a terrible day. He moved him from a set to the other. “Look, this is because I want to do a lot of things!” he said him. It was night and Josh drove homeward. He went along the main streets of L.A. and he looked their store and building with the Christmas’ light. He love the Christmas. It remembered him when he was a children. His sister and he woke up from the odour of the kitchen. They went to Christmas tree and they found their Christmas present. Yap, he loved the Christmas, but he also fell melancholy. This year, he couldn’t go to Vancouver and he had to be in a country that didn’t know for the first premiere of his movie. He passed in front of the alley that carried to house of Katie, so he turned in without thinking. He arrived to Katie but her apartment was dark. “She sleep” he thought. He was about to go away when he saw Katie put her keys in front door. I looked her for a moment, then he went to her. Katie frightened.
K: Ah you are!
J: I’m sorry!
K: Nothing…what do you do here now?
J: I passed and… I finished late to work…
K: I’m too… yesterday, I should to do the last scene but the time is always little, so I do it today! Ah…If they had to pay us the extras, I would me multimillionaire – she smiled him- Do you want to come on up?

K:No, stay! If you want, I don’t have to wake up soon, tomorrow! I end to turn my movie!
Josh sat again.
J: Where are you going to Christmas?
K: I think… a Toledo…but I’ll stay a few day! I have the first premiere at 22 and other the 28…and you?
J: I’ll stay here alone… I must finish one movie and so I can’t go away!
Katie yawned.
J: I go! You have sleep… also I!

They arrived the door.

They watched them and Sally smiled. Then Katie watched her clock and looked her friend.

K: Can I do one thing??
Josh nodded. Katie reached him and she took off him the tie and unbuttoned the first two button the his shirt. Josh stared her with an surprise face
K: Don’t worry! I don’t wanted to strip you!- she arranged his jacket- now, you’re perfect!
Josh smiled. Someone rang the bell.
K: Must be the limousine
J: Wao, the limousine!

They arrived to premiere, Josh went down the car. In the first, the people were surprise, then they started to scream. Then Katie went down and she walking on red carpet with Josh. They made several signatures and photos with their fans. Into the cinema they watched the movie and after the interviews, they returned to home.
Into the limousine…
K: I couldn’t anymore! Because of these shoes I had a terrible backache!
J: Do you want a massage?
K: Thank you !
Katie turned and Josh started to massage her the back
J: Are you better?
K: Yes… I’m better …
Josh continued to massage her and he felt Katie relaxed herself under his hands.
K: In three days is Christmas and we are still working!
J: We can’t to celebrate the Christmas with calm!
K: I’m sorry that you can’t to go to Vancouver…
J: I’m too…
K: Why don’t you came with me?
Josh stopped himself
J: What?
K: Came with me! We leave tomorrow and we return before take back his shooting on location…
J: But I begin 28…
K:I have in the same day the premiere and I must to came back for 27… It’s ok, no?! My parents will be happy to see you!

K: Bu if you are busy…
J: No, I’m not busy…but- Katie looked him in the eyes- I can’t…
When Josh returned to home, he went to his bed and he thought of the night. He made a smile. I took the phone and made one number

Josh went back in his bed, while Katie stayed still to the phone with dream eyes.
The following morning Katie and Josh met in the airport.

J:I didn’t sleep tonight!

M: Why all those ice ?
K: For calm the excitable temper!- Josh was bursting out laughing
M: Katie!

Katie and Josh looked themselves and they bursted out laughing.
The Christmas arrived and the passed the day with Katie’s Family. Then Katie and Josh walked. They arrived into the park and Josh took her hands.

K: I believe that you was forgotten it!
J: Why on earth?
He took out his pocket a velvet box and Katie was dumbfounded. Josh knelt before Katie.
J: Katie Holmes…- hi smiled- Do you want marry me?
Katie nodded and she kissed him

K: I thought was obvious but…Yes, I want to merry you!

After few day they returned home. The climbed the stairs, kissing and the arrived the door. Katie found her key but it was difficult because Josh was kissing on her neck. She opened the door and she kissed Josh with passion. Josh closed the door with kick. They threw away their jacket and bags and they ran in the bedroom…
A few days later Josh was on his set and Katie reached him. When she entered, all people saw her amazed. Josh went to Katie and he kissed her.
K: Why they stare me?

J: Him!- Josh pointed out a boy that he went out of his dressing room. Katie jummed.

Josh was worry.

Katie went away and Josh looked her anxious.
When he backed to home, Josh threw his keys onto the table and he called Katie. She didn’t answer. He went in the bedroom and he saw that she was sleeping. Josh reached her and kissed her forehead. He undressed and went in his bed.
The following morning when he waked up, Katie there wasn’t. He went to kitchen and she was there. She had breakfast. Josh embraced her, kissing.
J: What’s wrong?
K: I must to tell you… It is important!
Josh sat and Katie took the Josh’s hands among hers
K:From a few days I’m not very well…I feel sick and I have a stomach cramps…
J: I began to get worried!
Katie smiled.
K:I have done the blood test…Josh, we expect a child!
Josh remained without words.
J: Which is the bad notice?
K: No one… I wanted to say that I am pregnant…
J:So, why did you are worry? My honey, this is fantastic! The wedding, one child… everything in the right moment!
K: Are you sure?
J:Yes!
K: I thought that it was too soon… we are together from one week!

Nine month later…
J: Honey? I’m in home!
Katie reached him
K:Schh! She sleep!
J:Sorry!
They went in the bedroom. They went to the cot near their bed.
K: Isn’t she a love?
Josh embraced his baby
J: Yes, she is!- he smiled him with sweetness. The baby girl waked up and Josh kissed on her forehead.
This was their destiny. To live together. To be happy together. To love each other. To love each other in freedom. To have a beautiful baby girl with the same eyes of father and the same nose of the mother. A child born of their love. A suffered love. One love that seemed ended, but reborn when less they waited it. This was their destiny. They together again.
